Medical Technologist II - Clinical Laboratory Services $9,000 Hiring Bonus
$9,000 hiring bonus for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.
Providence is calling a Medical Technologist II (Clinical Laboratory Services, Evening Shift, 0.9 FTE) to Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Consistently demonstrate adherence to the principles and requirements outlined in the Commitments and Compliance Integrity Program and any other organization or departmental materials related to compliance with laws, regulatory requirements
Consistently demonstrate adherence to Medicare and Medicaid regulations which directly or indirectly relate to the performance and job expectations
Employee demonstrate knowledge of PSMMC’s policy on Patients Rights and Responsibilities and respects these rights and responsibilities in carrying-out daily activities
Actively support the regulatory requirements of Joint Commission standards for the laboratory and the hospital
Demonstrate leadership by performing his/her work in a manner that meets or exceeds the level of care and service that PSMMC promote to the communities we serve
Participate in hospital and department specific practices to maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for patients and staff
Maintain the security and confidentiality of data and information used in performance of his/her daily duties conforming to hospital policy, laws and regulations as appropriate
Qualifications:
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in chemical, physical or biologic science, or medical technology from accredited institution
5 years experience of Clinical Laboratory Testing Experience
1 year experience in a high complexity lab
ASCP (MT or MLS) or equivalent certificate
Within 30 days of hire: State of Washington Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist certification
Current BLS-Healthcare provider (AHA accredited)
