Athletic Trainer - Providence (Therapy) Southgate in Walla Walla, Washington

The staff Athletic Trainer functions under the supervision of the rehabilitation leadership team and the department director. The Athletic Trainer provides direct patient/client care under the general supervision of a designated licensed healthcare provider ultimately responsible for the specific patient/client. The staff Athletic Trainer assumes responsibility and accountability for providing evaluation and treatment established in conjunction with a designated licensed healthcare provider as determined by a plan of care and in accordance with scope of practice, established hospital and departmental policies and procedures, all while maintaining the highest degree of quality patient care.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training

  • Graduate of a CAATE accredited Athletic Training Program

  • Current license as an Athletic Trainer in the State of Washington, or temporary license if new graduate awaiting licensing exam results

  • BOC (Board of Certification) for Athletic Trainers

  • Medicare National Provider Identification Number (NPI) within 30 days of hire

  • Current BLS – Healthcare Provider (must be AHA accredited) or obtained within 90 days of hire

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Athletic Training

  • 1 year professional experience in 1 or more of the following: sports injury, high school/college athletics, sports medicine, or physical therapy.
