Providence Pharmacy Technician in Tukwila, Washington
Providence is calling a Pharmacy Technician (Pharmacy, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Infusion and Pharmacy Services in Tukwila, Washington. In this position you will be part of a health care team serving long term care and hospice patients to:
Accurately enter orders into computer
Assist pharmacists to package, label and dispense medications and other health care products in accordance with regulatory requirements
Prepare and package medications in ways that help patients comply with complex regimens
Triage calls and messages
Perform routine pharmacy work that may include inventory, scanning, inspections, sterilization and maintaining patient records
Coordinate delivery of medications by mail or courier service.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Completion of approved pharmacy technician training program
Current certification and license by the Washington State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician
Current National Pharmacy Technician certification, or within 6 months upon hire
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Experience with QS/1 pharmacy software and Pyxis machines
Cycle fill experience
Packing machine experience
Order entry experience
