Providence Health & Services Sterile Processing Supervisor in Spokane, Washington
Providence is calling a Sterile Processing Department Supervisor ( Sterile Processing , Night Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington. In this position you will:
Be responsible for the coordination of all activities within the Sterile Processing Department (SPD), to include but not limited to, decontamination activities, collection of soiled instruments and other supplies within the Main West and Central Tower as required.
Be responsible for staffing and all sterile processing activities in preparation for all supplies and instruments within the department.
Be responsible for all coordination and support of information systems and data coordination.
Oversee staff development including the coordination and documentation of new employee training, department in-service and annual mandatory training with the department.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED) equivalent
Prior experience in all functions within the Materials Department
Prior experience in planning, organizing and conducting training sessions
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
Completion of a Certified Central Service Training Program is preferred and may be required to retain this position
3 years experience in Central Supply, Sterile Processing and Decontamination Departments
Prior supervisory experience
