Providence Health & Services RN – Mechanical Heart Coordinator in Spokane, Washington
Providence is calling a Registered Nurse - Mechanical Heart Coordinator (Full time day shift) to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington. In this position you will:
Have responsibility for assignments involving technical and clinical support to include ventricular assist device preparation, device readiness, implant period management, device monitoring, post implant analysis and clinical training.
Share 24-hour responsibility for mechanical heart follow-up, including coordination of hospital admissions and monitoring clinical progress.
Facilitate patient care through clinic held twice weekly, with a strong focus on outpatient follow-up.
Effectively use transplant committee as an opportunity for care conference regarding difficult cases.
Provide professional, peer and patient education and participate in the development of patient education programs.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Washington State
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Highly preferred: Recent nursing experience in a transplant center setting
