Providence is calling a Philanthropy Officer - Grants ( Foundation , Days, 1.0 FTE / Full time) to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.

In this position you will:

  • Actively support and incorporate the mission and core values into daily activities. Treat all others with respect and demonstrate excellence, justice and compassion in daily work and relationships with others.

  • Conduct the full range of activities required to prepare and submit grant proposals; collect, analyze, and interpret data and other information required by solicitations.

  • Conduct and analyze data on current projects and programs to determine goals and to define opportunities and/or need for additional grant funding support.

  • Perform prospect research on grant sources to identify available funding opportunities.

  • Serve as liaison, and frequently principal lead, in the development of grant proposals and work with program staff and external funding as needed.

  • Facilitate post-grant submission meetings in collaborations with development team members and others necessary to evaluate and report impact of funding support.

  • Provide review and expert guidance in the development of grants for Providence Health Care ministries when requested.

  • Develop individual objectives consistent with the Providence Health Care Foundation Eastern Washington fund-raising priorities and processes. Measures and reports on individual objectives quarterly.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Demonstrated success in program development and grant writing for health care applications

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Communicating with diverse heath care constituencies, including physicians, administrators, and other health care professionals

  • Health care organizations
