Providence Health & Services Pharmacy Technician in Spokane, Washington
Providence is calling a Pharmacy Technician (Anticoagulation Clinic, Day Shift, 0.0 FTE) to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
This is a supplemental role and will fill in on days shifts as needed to provide sick and vacation coverage.
In this position you will:
Assist licensed pharmacists to formulate, label and dispense medications and other health care products in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Fills and dispenses unit dose, IV Admixtures, and/or chemotherapeutic medications under the direction of pharmacists.
Collect & verify patient medication histories.
Perform routine pharmacy work that may include inventory, sterilization and maintaining patient records.
Calculate drug volumes to deliver correct dosages.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED) equivalent
Washington state pharmacy technician certification
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Hospital pharmacy experience
