Providence is calling a Patient Sitter (Ip Rehab Brain Injury, Evenings, 0.8 FTE) to Providence St Luke's Rehabilitation Institute in Spokane, Washington. In this position you will:
Introduce self/title to customer, presents purpose of interaction.
Identify and respond to customer needs during initial and ongoing interactions and clarifies customer’s expectations.
Listen to the perspective of the customer and responds promptly in a respectful manner.
Keep all customer identifiers and information confidential.
Document all patient observation and care activities.
Maintain a safe clean and orderly work environment.
Complete daily work or is ready to transfer assignment at the end of shift.
Work effectively as a team member utilizing unassigned time to benefit the team.
Perform ongoing observation of the patient’s condition and reports any changes or abnormal findings promptly to the RN.
Monitor pain, provides comfort measures, and reports abnormal findings promptly to the RN.
Provide specified nourishment to the correct patient and promptly notifies the RN of any changes or abnormal findings.
When in the attendant role, never leaves the patient alone, and reorients patient frequently.
Complete assignments delegated by RN within specified timeframes.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
H.S. Diploma or GED
Experience working with patients in a health care setting.
