Providence Health & Services Patient Registrar in Spokane, Washington
Providence is calling a Patient Registrar (Admissions, Days, 0.8 FTE) to Providence St Luke's Rehabilitation Institute in Spokane, Washington. In this position you will:
Schedule referred patients for requested therapy using Meditech and scheduling modules.
Serve as primary liaison for patient referrals to SLRI. Coordinates referral information to appropriate service lines.
Serve as primary contact for cancellations or rescheduling of patients for services and inputs information into all systems as appropriate.
Verify patients’ insurance eligibility, authorization, and coverage for services and enters information into systems as appropriate.
Prepare documentation as needed for all stakeholders.
Responsible for collecting and processing of patient copays when applicable.
Responsible for new patient registration which includes necessary paperwork and creating a new chart.
Coordinate re-authorizations for continuance of services.
Serve as an informational resource regarding access to programs and resources .
Prepare and distribute appropriate paperwork to staff and physicians to ensure process flow.
May be responsible for minimal Therapy Aide duties at offsite locations such as wiping down treatment tables, changing linen and management of linen supply.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Medical terminology knowledge
Previous experience with patient scheduling
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Prior billing or insurance company experience
