Providence is calling a Family Therapist - Behavioral Education Skills Training (BEST) (Psychiatry , Day Shift, 1.0 FTE FT) to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Function as the primary resource for families regarding admission to the program, parent resource education and therapeutic resolution of home issues during the child’s treatment.
Review patient referrals and conduct admissions to the program.
Teach the parent education curriculum including leading specific groups on home issues and relationships.
Provide assistance to the management of the therapeutic milieu by monitoring designated group activities.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology or related Human Services
Self-directed and demonstrates initiative
Valid and unencumbered Washington State License/Registration for one of the following:
Agency Affiliated Counselor
Mental Health Counselor
Licensed Advance Social Worker
Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker
