Providence Health & Services Dietitian Nutrition Consultant in Spokane, Washington
Providence is calling a Dietitian Consultant (Food and Nutrition Services Dept, Day Shift, 0 FTE/On Call) to Providence Holy Family Hospital in Spokane, Washington. In this position you will:
Accept and support the mission and values of Holy Family Hospital
Support the Performance Improvement process
Follow policies related to work attendance and dress code
Maintain a safe environment for staff, patients, and visitors
Consider individual needs in communication with patients and staff, including ethical, cultural, psychosocial, religious, and age-specific aspects, to include all ages
Support patient rights and the organization’s code of ethical behavior
Follow the principles and requirements outlined in the Commitments & Compliance Integrity Program Employee Handbook and any other organizational or departmental materials related to compliance with laws and regulatory requirements
Assist with, or performs, according to scope of practice, a timely assessment of patients, according to policies, procedures, and protocols, taking into account age/developmental stage
Demonstrate knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food safety policies
Support and participates in the functions of the diet office as needed
Perform accurate and timely nutrition assessments and care plans
Provide diet counseling for all patients on therapeutic diets as appropriate
Serve as a resource for nutrition information/education for medical staff, hospital staff, and community
Maintain professional responsibilities and development
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor Degree in Food and Nutrition from an ADA-accredited college/program
Washington State Certification for Dietitians and ADA Registered (or registry-eligible) with the American Dietetic Association required
Washington State Certified and ADA Registered within 1 year of employment
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- 1 year Clinical dietitian experience in a hospital setting
