Providence Health & Services Clinical Risk Manager in Spokane, Washington
Providence is calling a Clinical Risk Manager (Full time day shift, M-F, Exempt position) to Providence Health Care in Eastern Washington. In this position you will:
Be responsible to provide proactive risk management consulting, education and intervention to Providence employed physicians within the PHC region.
Serve as a liaison with those community physicians who are privileged to provide hospital based care to Providence patients within the PHC region.
Be responsible for physician focused risk management activities which include identifying and preventing risks, investigating patient safety events, and providing educational programs for physicians, operational leadership, and clinic based staff.
Utilize analytical skills to perform risk assessments, conduct studies, collect and interpret data from a wide variety of internal and external sources, and make associated recommendations regarding operational efficiency and performance improvement.
Promote a safe patient care environment, mitigate loss, and provide direct support to clinicians who are providing patient care.
Follow up with patients and/or family who experience injury or loss as a result of adverse events.
Act as back-up to the Director of Risk, and assist when needed.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Masters degree in a health care-related discipline
Certification in Health Care Risk Management (CPHRM)
At least 6 years of clinical risk management/patient safety and/or loss prevention experience in the healthcare sector
Excellent professional business written and oral communication skills
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Experience working with physician providers or ambulatory practice
