Chaplain Non Certified - Spiritual Care

Day Shift - 40 hours per week

The Chaplain provides professional and competent spiritual care ministry, and is responsible for serving the spiritual, religious, and emotional needs of others in inpatient, outpatient and community settings. As a member of the healthcare team, the Chaplain is directly responsible for the implementation of the mission, values, polices, and procedures of the Department of Spiritual Care and the facility in which they serve.


Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Episcopal/Ecclesiastical endorsement required.

  • Endorsement in accordance with the requirements of his/her faith/spiritual tradition required.

  • One (1) year endorsement in accordance with the requirements of his/her faith/spiritual tradition required.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Graduate-level theological degree (Theology, Divinity, Spirituality, Religious Studies, Pastoral Counseling, or related field).

  • Completed 4 units of Certified Pastoral Education.

  • Certified by NACC, or APC or eligible and able to apply for certification within 3 years of employment.
