Providence Health & Services Administrative Assistant - Nursing Administration *Day Shift* in Spokane, Washington


Providence is calling a Administrative Assistant Nursing Services (Nursing Administration , Day Shift, 1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week) to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children's Hospital in Spokane, Washington. In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Answer and screens telephone calls for department and routes calls appropriately

  • Plan, perform and facilitate a broad range of administrative support services to directors and managers by prioritizing and working independently on assigned projects and activities

  • Interface with high level internal and external customers requiring extensive discretion, confidentiality and initiative to carry out a wide variety of assignments

  • Provide administrative support and logistics for large, complex meetings; events; retreats; and committees

  • Coordinate travel schedule, calendar and meetings to ensure timely and accurate execution

  • Administer requests for expense reports, check requests and other budgetary/financial documents as necessary

  • Use computer software to complete assignments with timeliness and accuracy

  • Maintain an ongoing database of key information as needed by department

  • Work on special projects for Directors, Managers, and their corresponding direct reports

  • Develop and maintain filing system for the efficient storage and retrieval of office records, contracts, correspondence, confidential information and other documentation

  • Appropriately processes outgoing material including copying, faxing, mailing and tracking

  • Maintain calendars for Directors, Managers, and their corresponding direct reports


Required qualifications for this position includes:

  • Graduate of a secretarial program -or- college level coursework and equivalent work experience

  • Three (3) years of Job related experience including responsible administrative work supporting management

Preferred qualifications for this position includes:

  • Associate's Degree

  • Health care experience

  • Proficiency in use of computers and word processing; Knowledge of WORD and OUTLOOK. EXCEL, Access and Power Point for Windows
