Providence Surgical Technologist - Ambulatory Surgery Center in Spokane Valley, Washington
Providence is calling a Certified Surgical Technologist ( Ambulatory Surgery Center , Days, Full Time) to Providence Medical Group in Spokane Valley, Washington. In this position you will:
Check schedules and organizes patient flow.
Set up instruments and equipment according to department protocol.
Clean exam/procedure rooms, instruments, and equipment between patient visit to maintain infection control.
Document patient’s history; takes vital signs and weight.
Assist patients as needed with walking, transfers, dressing, collecting specimens, preparing for exam, etc.
Obtain lab/x-ray reports, hospital notes, referral information.
Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record.
Ensure that all equipment is functioning properly, and prepare the patient for the procedure or operation by disinfecting the part of the body where the incision will be made.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Completion of a Surgical Technologist program from an accredited and approved school
Surgical Technologist (ST credential) with the State of Washington
Current National Certification with the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA), holding CST credential (Certified Surgical Technician)
BLS Certification required within 90 days of hire at the ASC
1 year Surgical Technology experience
