We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Consumer Data Platform (CDP) engineering team in Seattle, WA . The position is expected to do hands-on development work to build new customer data platform and services working closely with Product managers and other engineering teams. Must have strong experience designing and developing web services on cloud with NoSQL databases. You are skilled at exploring different technologies and systems to solve a customer problem and have demonstrated experience with installing, configuring and supporting cloud tools.
What you will do:
Lead development efforts for new platforms. Implement and architect platform features.
Lead overall delivery of services supporting API’s
Encourage good engineering practice with emphasis on code quality, supportability, scalability and performance.
Advocate leading edge practices such as CI/CD, containerization and TDD.
Estimate project work and help with scheduling/committing of work to stakeholders
Enhance DevOps practices.
Evaluate 3rd party systems for integrations and provide solutions on custom integration work.
Coach and mentor other engineers and take part in recruitment of fellow engineers.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
6 years of object oriented design and implementation.
Proven experience building micro-services at scale with NOSQL database technologies and object oriented programming languages: Java, C##,
A passion for continuous delivery and test-first design. Experience deploying to cloud-native infrastructure using containers is an asset.
Experience with tools such as CloudFormation, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, Elastic Load Balancing, Beanstalk, EC2, Route 53, etc in AWS or equivalent tools in Azure preferred
A demonstrated track record of being a change agent, leaving every team and process better than you found it.
