The Digital & Innovation team at Providence St. Joseph Health is a small but mighty product development and incubation team that is building next-gen tools that give patients convenient and easy access to healthcare virtually anywhere, anytime.
We are looking for a Senior Product Director - Technology Evaluation Pilots in Seattle WA, to lead the PSJH organizational practice for technology evaluation with deep expertise in the area of designing, executing, and evaluating technology pilots.
What you’ll work on:
You will establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff at all levels in Providence Strategic and Management Services (PSMS), as well as with other Providence Health & Services staff, vendors and agents, and others. The position will regularly be called upon for presentations to colleagues outside of Providence and outside of the healthcare industry.
How you’ll be doing this:
Lead the operationalization of the technology cascade, by which the Digital team goes from an idea, to a problem, to a determination of what type of technology will solve the problem
Lead and execute the process for making build vs. buy vs. partner technology decisions for Digital platforms or solutions that align with Digital priority opportunity areas in collaboration with the Digital Innovation Group, IS, and clinical and operational stakeholders
Lead development and execution of a process with PSJH IS and other technology stakeholders to systematically evaluate the internal technology portfolio
Lead oversight of the system-run pilot program including advancing the program to reflect deeper engagement with and more hands-on collaboration with regional and functional teams to advance pilots that align closely with System-defined priority opportunity areas
Co-lead the evangelization of the technology cascade process with regional, clinical and operational leadership.
Bring us your expertise:
MS, MBA, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience is required.
Minimum 15 years in technology evaluation and technology-oriented problem solving
Experience making build vs buy vs partner technology decisions.
Demonstrated effective management of high level executive relationships within a healthcare system environment.
Must be strategic, creative, analytical, and hands on, working in an agile/lean start-up culture within a large complex organization with a preference for health system experience.
Demonstrated ability to develop strategic and implementation plans, and to rigorously execute in large organizations with multiple stakeholders.
