Providence Health & Services Project Accountant in Seattle, Washington
Providence is calling a Project Accountant to one of our locations in the Seattle area, Irvine, CA or Portland, OR.
The Providence Healthcare Intelligence (HI) team is developing innovative solutions using agile practices and cutting-edge cloud technologies.
We are seeking a talented candidate that reflect Providence core values to work across HI portfolio of programs, projects, and products to manage finances, forecasting, and provide ongoing policies training and support. These responsibilities include the following:
Provide consulting to HI team related to project capital policies, procedures, sources of data, troubleshooting, navigating purchase orders, and other related subjects. Liaison to IS Strategy Office and provide ongoing training and support.
Manage the HI capital portfolio within our budgeting, ERP, project management and contracting systems of record. This includes ongoing budget transfers, invoice and purchase order research, timecard reconciliation, managing monthly and annual forecasts, leading a weekly capital management meeting, portfolio reporting and other related duties.
Provide consulting to HI team related to operational financial policies, procedures, sources of data, troubleshooting, navigating purchase orders, contract approval process, monthly and annual budget review, accrual process and other related subjects.
Manage the HI operational portfolio within our systems of record such as Lawson, Genesis and Project Online. This includes ongoing budget transfers, invoice and purchase order research, timecard reconciliation, managing monthly and annual forecasts, leading a weekly budget review meeting, portfolio reporting and other related duties.
Provide consulting to HI leaders on Service Now capabilities. Work with the Service Now operations team and HI leaders to manage the HI portfolio of applications, support group and overall team implementation strategy.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent educ/experience.
Coursework/Training Education with PM methodology based on PM principles.
Experience with PM methodology based on PM principles.
4 years Experience managing projects of medium scope and complexity.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Coursework/Training CAP, Workout and Lean education strongly encouraged as soon as available or within 1 year.
Project Management Professional designation (PMI) Certification.
Experience working with process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean. Demonstrated experience developing and modifying business processes.
Experience managing projects with multiple project teams, product development lifecycle, or quality lifecycle.
Experience with PM methodologies and software.
Experience making formal and informal presentations to managers and key stakeholders.
