Providence Health & Services Principal Consultant ITM in Seattle, Washington
Providence is calling a Principal Consultant Integrated Talent Management (ITM) to Providence St. Joseph Health- This position is based at Swedish in Seattle, WA.
We are seeking a Principal Consultant ITM to provide expert level consultation and talent solutions to senior leaders and operational delivery staff at Swedish Health System, an affiliate of PSJH. The Principal Consultant acts as both a solutions architect, taking caregiver/client inputs to drive organization and talent solutions that support ITM’s overall vision and goals, as well as supporting Providence St Joseph Health's strategic goals.
The Principal Consultant position reports to the Regional Director, ITM, and works in collaboration with the regional business leaders, HR Leaders, ITM Centers of Excellence (e.g. Talent Management, Leadership Development, Caregiver Experience, etc.) and ITM Operations to ensure alignment of regional needs and PSJH organization/talent strategies.
The incumbent performs all duties in a manner that promotes Providence St. Joseph Health's mission, values, and philosophy. In all aspects, he/she serves as a role model for the values and mission of the organization.
The Principal Consultant ITM will have the following responsibilities:
As a senior-level individual contributor, partners with Regional ITM Director, regional business leaders and HR teams to align system-wide strategic organization and talent initiatives with regional business strategies and desired outcomes, and to support regional implementation of system-wide initiatives.
Provides expert level strategic consulting capability across initiative lifecycle (e.g., assessing business strategy/challenge, scoping and aligning solution, solution build out and implementation).
Conducts assessment of organizational and talent needs. Responsible for contributing to talent strategy for the region. Uses the strategy as the driving force to advise on, design, and implement solutions; working as the SME to Operations and Delivery shared services resources.
Proactively addresses and responds to talent and organizational needs by bringing key stakeholders together to identify gaps and gain consensus on appropriate organization and talent management interventions.
Facilitates and/or participates in regional talent review processes to identify high potential talent and successors. Strategizes on the accelerated development opportunities for these populations as appropriate based on Talent Review data.
Facilitates a variety of learning experiences (e.g., formal classroom and virtual learning, skills labs, action-learning teams, mentor programs, etc.) when needed as either back up to our operational staff or for senior leadership when needed.
Collaborates with Client and Operational staff to build evaluation strategy to measure the effectiveness in achieving the program objectives, and works with COE program management to ensure lessons learned are incorporated into iterative designs and future programs.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Organization Development, Industrial Psychology, Human Resources, Business Administration Or equivalent educ/experience.
5 years as a practitioner with demonstrated ability to add value to strategic objectives of an organization using a variety of talent management and learning & development methodologies
5 years demonstrated expertise in a broad range of talent development methods, and in the design, implementation, and execution of development solutions across a variety of functions.
5 years experience with all aspects of talent including Performance Management, Strategic Workforce development, Talent scorecard/succession, Accelerated Development and Learning
Ability to anticipate future trends/consequences and create innovative solutions. Able to analyze and implement quickly, efficiently, and collaboratively.
Solid project management skills - needs assessments, learning program design, learning program implementation, learning evaluation strategies ( Change to:)
Proven ability working with C- suite executives focused on executive development, succession, talent and learning solutions. Ability to work as a trusted advisor within the talent space to support the implementation of key talent and learning programs.
Can operate independently, and uses a high degree of innovation, creativity, and resourcefulness when providing solutions. Is a do-er and proactively can act as a practitioner when needed- developing solutions, influencing, building readiness and consulting at the highest level.
Advanced level facilitation skills, perform as and SME on leading, mentoring, and up skill delivery staff including HR professionals, cross functional core leaders and other to help deploy new solutions.
Certification in Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP), Human Capital Strategist (HCS), or other relevant certification program is desirable.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Master’s Degree in Business, Organizational Psychology or equivalent education/experience.
