Providence is calling an IS Strategic Partner, Director to Providence Health & Services in the Puget Sound Region.
This position does require the selected candidate reside or relocate to the region the role will support, relocation benefits will not be provided.
We are seeking an IS Strategic Partner, Director to applies their healthcare industry knowledge, operations acumen, leadership skills and Information Services experience to ensure that PSJH Information Services delivers the highest possible value to PSJH clinics, ministries and regions. They promote strong regional relationships and optimal regional delivery of technical services through partnership, monitoring, and continuous improvement of IS shared services processes and projects. As requested by PSJH Regional Leadership, the IS Strategic Partner provides input to the Regional Leadership Teams on aspects of business planning and management and in particular on the contribution of technology to regional strategy and operations. The IS Strategic Partner works directly with ministry leadership and users to ensure technology needs are identified, documented and acted upon in accordance with corporate processes, policies and strategies. The IS Strategic Partner must be able to accurately identify, triage, escalate and monitor service delivery concerns. The IS Strategic Partner must be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with regional and corporate technical teams, informatics and business teams from every healthcare discipline. IS Strategic Partner must be able to analyze a situation quickly and support expedient resolution to problems via appropriate processes.
Essential Job Functions:
Regional business and strategy discussions and planning events. Ensure IS strategies and requirements are adequately and accurately represented in all new regional requests. Participate in local and regional operational governance to ensure clinical and business strategies are aligned with corporate strategies. Collaborate with IS executives and leaders to develop and enhance IS strategic plans and technology road maps to meet customer needs.
Governance attend regional operations & clinical governance committees as liaison for Information Services. Participate on IS project governance committees to ensure high quality of IS work products.
Management of customer satisfaction and regional service expectations in complex shared service delivery model. Responsible for comprehensive regional issue management through appropriate triage, escalation and communication processes.
Monitors enterprise and regional project portfolios, acts as regional project sponsor, and ensures appropriate communication on initiatives.
Partner with others to plan, manage, monitor and optimize corporate and regional IS service operations. Monitor standards for customer service within the shared services delivery model to report on and improve outcomes. Adhere to roles, responsibilities & standardized processes within shared service delivery model to maximize effectiveness of IS service delivery.
Provide regional specific mentoring and guidance to regionally based IS shared services staff. Act as liaison for IS communications especially during service outages.
Serve as a role model for values and mission of Information Services and Providence Saint Joseph Health organization.
Ensure appropriate coordination and collaboration with IS shared services resources located in corporate locations or other regions. Use established enterprise tools and processes to delivery IS services, promoting customer satisfaction across enterprise level.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Management,
Information Services or related field.
5 years of Leadership experience in a healthcare setting; Demonstrated ability to create and successfully execute strategic plans for highly complex issues; healthcare information.
5 years of healthcare information services operations and support; experience standardizing complex and disparate processes; methodologies related to application management.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Master's Degree IS, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
