Providence Health & Services Identity and Access Developer – Engineer 2 in Seattle, Washington

Description:

Providence is calling an I dentity and Access Developer – Engineer 2 to one of our locations in Portalnd, Seattle, or Los Angeles.

We are seeking an Identity and Access Developer – Engineer 2 who will be responsible for researching, evaluating, and designing technical security solutions for the enterprise in support of the Enterprise Information Security (EIS) strategies; providing technical security assessment support; developing, maintaining, and monitoring an effective Information Security program to provide logical and physical protection of the company's technical resources. Enterprise accountabilities include executing security engineering practices for IS projects; conduct product research and participate in the selection process of technologies to support security requirements; establish technical security guidance, provisioning of access by ensuring the proper access to all types of enterprise applications and data communications systems and services for each customer.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Understand the caregiver, business, and technical requirements. Uses expertise to contribute to components of a service architecture, and operability and caregiver scenarios that meet compliance standards and KPIs, such as quality, cost, and caregiver expectation.

  • Apply the team’s standards and best practices to his or her own work to design high-performance, manageable services.

  • Analyze the current service delivery system and uses his or her judgment to identify improvements that enable the team to create a system that supports service delivery and meets KPIs.

  • Perform troubleshooting and engineers solutions for service issues to restore service with minimal disruption to the caregiver and business. Owns the problem, solving it once and for all. Extrapolates from past experiences and delivers innovations.

  • Actively takes part in disaster recovery drills. Participates as needed in incident response management during non-working hours.

  • Use expertise to identify relevant data, and provides analysis on actual versus projected capacity requirements, based on service KPIs, evolving caregiver usage scenarios, and new feature releases to enable the team to create a viable cost model.

  • Maximize the effectiveness of financial resources.

  • Use expertise to identify process or technology solutions that identify and resolve platform, system, deployment and environmental issues prior to solution release, and that ensure an on-time release with predictable high quality.

  • Participate in triaging and uses problem management tools (such as root cause analysis, trend analysis, and postmortems). Contributes to and implements a solution.

  • Ensure that production solutions are reliable, resilient, secure and effective and continuously monitored.

  • Collect metrics (such as service availability data, performance measures, system health, and long-term trends) to support service intelligence analysis.

  • Adhere to budget requirements and tracks and reports operational cost data to the business.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent education/experience.

  • 3 years related experience.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • SSCP, SANS GIAC or equivalent.

  • 3-5 years related experience.

  • Experience in a Healthcare environment.

  • Experience coding SQL queries and stored procedures

  • Experience using PowerShell

  • 3 Years Experience developing in Java or other similar languages

  • Experience working with Active Directory, LDAP related directory services

  • Agile Experience Develop SAILPOINT workflows per the business needs

  • Experience maintaining appropriate documentations, source codes within the defined framework

  • Experience with ADO
