Providence Health & Services HR Business Partner (Temporary; Full Time Benefits) in Seattle, Washington


Providence Health & Services is seeking a HR Business Partner (Temporary, Full Benefits) for our Digital & Innovation Group located in downtown Seattle. This is a .75 FTE salaried position with full benefits that is temporary in nature with a likely duration until the end of 2018.

We are seeking a HR Business Partner to act as primary point of contact for caregivers and core leaders for HR and employment related matters. We are looking for someone who will work in partnership with executives to address operational, talent, and talent life-cycle related issues, including: change management, organizational development, culture, employee relations, workforce planning, talent growth, development, and coaching. This role leads programs and initiatives, champions the organization’s culture, and develops practical local solutions to achieve business objectives. A key requirement of this role is the ability to use analytical tools to inform business decisions. In addition, our HRBPs ensure the quality of HR service delivery through effective collaboration with our HR operational services (shared services) and centers of expertise (COE) specialist teams.

In this position you will:

  • Provide expert advice and coaching to caregivers and core leaders.

  • Possess a deep understanding of the business model, diagnose organizational needs, and consult with customer groups on operational strategies.

  • Participate in grievance/dispute resolution, negotiations and task force activities.

  • Maintain relationships in order to broker services provided through HR experts.

  • Develop practical local solutions to achieve business objectives.

  • Facilitate HR related focus groups and workouts as needed.

  • Acquisition/affiliation support.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, HR management or related field.

  • 5 years professional human resources or related experience.

  • Use analytical tools to establish business decisions.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • PHR or equivalent.

  • HR experience supporting a start-up or technology company.
