Providence is calling a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) (Variable Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Heritage House in Seattle, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
Heritage House is located in the heart of the Pike Place Market in downtown Seattle. This is a full-time position offering benefits.
In this position you will:
Act as an advocate for patients in maintaining choice, independence, privacy, dignity and security.
Provide appropriate patient care as directed by a licensed nurse.
Assist in providing care and implementing delegated activities of the nursing plan.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED)
Current Washington State Nursing Assistant Certified (NAC) licensure
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification, or within 30 days of hire
First Aid certificate, or within 30 days of hire
Food Handler's Permit, or within 14 days of hire
Three months of experience in long term or geriatric care
Required within 120 days of hire:
Nurse Delegation for Nursing Assistants training
70 hours Basic Training Mental
Health Specialty Training
Dementia Specialty Training
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
6 months of nursing assistant experience
Prior patient care experience in sub-acute, long term care and/or with Alzheimer’s or Dementia patients
