Providence Health & Services Supervisor, Field Technical Services - Western WA Network & Telecom in Renton, Washington
Providence is calling a Supervisor, Field Technical Services to Providence St. Joseph Health in Renton, WA or Olympia, WA.
We are seeking a Supervisor, Field Technical Services, for the Western WA Network and Telecom Teams. Responsibilities include technology lifecycle replacement strategies, technical staff skills development, management of day-to-day staff assignments according to budget and schedule and, overseeing the development and use of standards.
In this position you will:
Manage and monitor all Technical Operations responsible systems. Take proactive measures to ensure optimal performance and make recommendations for expansions or modifications as needed.
Participate in the resource allocation for staff on projects and operational duties.
Consult with customers and designs and implement programming changes and application integration on all telephony, networking and desktop systems under the team’s control. Make recommendations for the introduction of new capabilities, as needed.
Be responsible for the operational effectiveness and completion of assigned daily tasks and regional support and duties of Technical Support Services and Infrastructure System Administrators.
Be responsible to supervise and develop leads reporting to the incumbent; Responsible to identify needs for performance improvement, develops plan, monitors improvement.
Be a positive advocate for all TSO goals and commitments; understands the vision of TSO and is able to deploy that vision through the functional areas; knows when to proactively communicate with directors about issues and problems that exist in their own functional area; performs daily interaction with staff; holds regular team meetings.
Develop effective working relationships at all organizational levels.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Systems or related industry, OR 4 year’s additional experience without a degree.
2-5 years minimum experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Cisco and/or Juniper certifications and/or expertise.
Some management classes, including conflict resolution and performance management.
MS certification and/or expertise.
VMWare certification and or expertise.
Strong knowledge of technology best practices in Server Virtualization, Windows OS and Hypervisors.
Avaya certifications and/or expertise around the Avaya call manager and applications which interface with Avaya platforms, including: Contact Center, CMS, Modular Messaging, Call Recording, wireless endpoints (Vocera and Spectralink), and VoIP.
Microsoft Desktop OS (Windows 7 or higher).
HP or Dell hardware certifications for desktop level equipment.
Broad expertise in information services related to Voice, Data Network and Desktop industry.
Proficiency with the MS-Office suite of products.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Healthcare experience in large, complex, distributed environments.
