Providence Health & Services Senior Project Manager - IT Infrastructure in Renton, Washington
Providence is calling Senior Project Managers to join the Information Services (IS) Portfolio and Project Management Office Infrastructure team located in Renton, WA. This position is NOT remote and requires working out of the Renton office in WA. Relocation assistance is not offered with this position.
We are seeking Senior Project Managers to be accountable for large, diverse and complex projects in the areas of information technology, Clinical informatics, physician practice implementations, quality improvement, strategic objectives and goals. Manages all aspects of projects with direct accountability to the Executive Sponsor.
In this position you will:
Develop projects in alignment with the organization’s strategic plans and objectives.
Build support to influence decisions in order to ensure work toward common objectives.
Manage client expectations from initial problem identification and through the project lifecycle.
Develop and gain sponsor approval and signoff of the project charter and work breakdown schedule.
Develop root cause analyses and process improvement plans.
Maintain all project artifacts.
Identify, deliver and document organizational, application and human workflows that contribute to policy and procedure updates throughout each project.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s degree plus seven years of experience in information technology, project management, healthcare administration or clinical field, or an equivalent blend of education and experience.
8 years of experience leading large, diverse and complex projects.
Expertise and experience with Project Management methodology based on project management principles.
Experience facilitating complex decisions making among multiple executive stakeholders with different interests and priorities is essential.
CAP, Workout and Lean education required as soon as available or within 1st year on the job.
Requires a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and current auto insurance.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Masters degree in a related field.
Experience in incorporating process improvement methodologies into large scale projects; Certifications in process optimization such as Six Sigma, Lean, CQIA or other nationally recognized certifications.
Project management Professional designation (PMI) Certification.
