We are seeking a Senior Manager, Payer Yield Continuous Process Improvement PSJH who will be responsible for assisting in the development of a continuous process improvement strategic plan, in partnership with the Director, Ops Support and AVP, Denials and Underpayments, Payer Yield GVP, and other Payer Yield AVP's, that will result in improvements in areas that impact net revenue cash flow and performance efficiency, meeting defined strategic goals and objectives. The role will review current state business practices, processes, policies, and procedures, identifying optimization opportunities, and will drive change in partnership with the appropriate stakeholders, ensuring change implementation is consistent enterprise wide. The Senior Manager will regularly collaborate with Payer Yield operational leadership to document all aspects of each proposed change, ensure measurable results are achieved, and regularly report out to Payer Yield leadership. The role may lead a team of analysts, specialists, coordinators, and project managers supporting change improvement implementation in Payer Yield.
The Senior Manager, PY Continuous Process Improvement will partner with other Revenue Cycle leaders and IS on process improvement, training, technology innovation, analytics, compliance, and vendor management. The Manager, Continuous Process Improvement is responsible to ensure policies and procedures are current and enforced, business practices are compliant, and a high level of patient and customer satisfaction is maintained across the region.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Maintain a play book of current Payer Yield policies, procedures, processes and practices, ensuring each is reviewed on a regular basis to verify Payer Yield adherence to defined standards, with management of all aspects of change implementation if modifications are deemed necessary.
Analyze current policies, procedures, processes and practices identified by Payer Yield operations leaders, determining opportunities for improvement, documenting, and training all approved changes with regular progress reporting, driving towards performance efficiency with measurable results.
Develop, monitor, and update a continuous process improvement strategic plan aligning with strategic goals and objectives.
Assist Payer Yield operations with implementation, training, and documentation of already identified improvement opportunities, in support of performance efficiency, net revenue cash flow and modernization.
Organize and oversee, in coordination with Payer Yield leadership and other stakeholders, the development and tracking of responses to recommendations for Providence internal and external audits affecting Payer Yield operations.
Manage operational resources who will identify, document, and communicate of all aspects of payer policy changes and regulatory (CMS, Medicaid, MediCal and other) changes to Payer Yield operational teams.
Organize and conduct regular meetings for the Payer Yield governance process, to ensure that topics are brought forward for Payer Yield leadership discussion and decision, with all topics tracked and pursued to completion or closure.
Maintain industry and operational knowledge related to legal and regulatory policies to assist Payer Yield in achievement of best-in-class practices and performance.
Oversee preparation of or prepare Medicare Credit Balance Report to ensure this report is submitted accurately and timely as required by CMS.
Partner with Revenue Cycle Payer Yield leadership and other PSJH ministry departments to meet goals.
Exercise creative approaches to problem solving. Deal with conflict and problematic situations in an open and tactful manner, respecting the dignity of others.

Required qualifications for this position include:
A minimum of seven (7) years' experience in a medical business office setting. Knowledge in reimbursement of health care accounts from insurance companies.
A minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in a healthcare organization.
Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
Demonstrated problem solving skills.
Excellent collaboration and team building skills.
Ability to lead/manage others.
Ability to simultaneously handle multiple priorities.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in relevant area of expertise such as business, finance, health care administration or equivalent education/experience.
5 years prior project or program management related experience.
5 years prior continuous process improvement related experience.
