Providence Executive Director, Workforce Development in Renton, Washington
The Executive Director, Workforce Development will be responsible for the philosophy and strategy in developing the skills and capabilities of our caregiver population. With a focus on leading innovative learning solutions that align to organizational goals and capabilities now and in the future, the incumbent will design seamless data flow between our Workforce Strategy Team to build performance based learning solutions that build skills to support a robust talent pipeline; lead the evolution of career pathway development that supports careers of the future and supports the caregiver where they are today; and measure and report how learning drives organizational performance through data and analytics.
Lead the creation of formal and informal, on-the-job, virtual and classroom learning experiences, tools, resources, and programs focused on career development and professional skills needed to enhance individual & organizational capabilities. Build out consistent caregiver competencies system wide. Align solutions to PSJH’s mission and core values.
In partnership with Workforce Strategy, Mission, and DEI offices - design and implement offerings/solutions to support the career and professional development for all caregivers (e.g., assessment, coaching, mentoring and career pathing, skilling).
Guide the Workforce Development team to build performance-based solutions with enabling measurement and analytics.
Own the development and ongoing management and revisions and the optimization of all workforce development solutions.
Partner with the Workforce Strategy Team and Talent Acquisition Team to build out the integrated life cycle and the key components around hire, re-skilling, retire.
Responsible for the Workforce Development strategies, philosophies and solutions that drive caregiver engagement and performance.
Partner with Workforce Strategy team to drive strategic build out of career paths that align with pipeline demand and future positions. Responsible for the optimization and sustainability of My Career Center.
Head up the build out of our measurement and benchmarking strategy for all caregiver development. Lead efforts to build out performance measurements and tracking of skills and competencies.
Cultivate relationship within HR and key organizational stakeholders and leaders to drive and influence Workforce Development Solutions and the importance of LD as a strategic driver.
Collaborate with all Education and Learning groups system wide to drive integrated solutions that optimize the learner experience.
Lead efforts to build future facing programs that will support the future workforce, to manage and support identified internal populations through the reskilling, redeploy process.
Required experience and education for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Learning, Organizational Development, Leadership, Human Resources, or another human behavior centered function
10 or more years as a senior-level learning and talent management leader with specialized mastery in professional development programs, learning curriculum design and delivery, talent management, Workforce development and organization development
7 years of experience working in large, complex/matrixed organizations recognized for developing staff and leaders
6 years of experience in designing and implementing innovative system/region-level learning and talent development programs
6 years of experience in coordinating HR Systems in partnership with HRIS to enable key Talent and Learning processes (e.g., LMS, performance and development systems, etc.)
6 years of experience bringing systems and design thinking methodologies to program development work
10 or more years of leadership experience.
Preferred experience and education for this position include:
