Providence Manager IS Payroll Applications in Redmond, Washington
Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Manager IS Payroll Applications to our location in Redmond, WA.
The Manager, IS Payroll Applications is responsible for providing support and leadership for the Payroll and Benefits Applications team in the Enterprise Business Applications group. This position is responsible for leading, mentoring and developing caregivers to support operational readiness. The Manager is also responsible for partnering with the payroll function other business and IS areas and vendors to maintain application relevance and stability.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Develops and execute enterprise level methodology and processes to support the service lines in the portfolio, including adherence to said processes and methodologies.
Ensures that the Applications division is supporting the IS organization needs and meets the needs of the organizations, including participation and execution of overall strategic plans and goals at all level of the organization.
Provides proficient verbal and written communications to all levels of the organization.
Manages customer's expectations regarding measurement and ultimate success of Information Services projects or initiatives; ensure measurable outcomes are defined and reported.
Collaborate with various application teams to ensure that team are collaborating and staying in sync on upgrades, optimization and integration where needed.
Develops team budgets and manage expenditures related to team operations, including creating budget plans for application growth and capital project budget requests.
Facilitates teamwork including role definition, accountability, and motivate staff, including performance evaluations.
Actively participates in optimization of processes and leads initiatives to improve service delivery, increase value to the organization and promote stewardship.
Identifies support requirements for applications and ensure that resourcing is maintained through demand management.
Participates and facilitates on call rotation for application continuity and disaster recovery scenarios.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Management, Business or Healthcare Oriented degree.
5 years Information Services Leadership experience.
6 years IT related experience.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Must have proven ability to interact at and communicate to all levels of an organization. Organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills and the ability to manage shifting priorities are critical for success in this position.
Extensive experience in an environment with complex premium pay is highly desirable.
Experience with payroll compare testing is highly desirable.
Experience with tax systems such as Vertex
Experience with not-for-profit healthcare services sector.
Experience with large scale business transformation and Payroll system implementation projects with scope. spanning multiple regions and/or geographies.
Experience with vendor management including contract negotiation and relationship management.
Experience developing and managing an operations and project budget for an information services organization.
At least 8 years of experience in application design, support and/or implementation of large scale HCM and Payroll systems such as Oracle HCM Cloud.
