Providence Health & Services Maintenance Technician in Redmond, Washington
Providence is calling a Maintenance Technician to Providence John Gabriel House (Low Income Housing) in Redmond, WA.
This is a part-time (20 hrs/week), day shift position with full benefits.
(No evenings and weekends)
We are seeking an experienced individual to help maintain our facility. The
Maintenance Technician position is a skilled trades position requiring
abilities in a wide range of technical areas essential to the ongoing viability
of the physical plant including but not limited to electrical, plumbing and
mechanical replacement and repair, apartment turnover and implementation of a
preventative maintenance schedule.
In this position you will:
Upholdthe Mission andCore Values of Providence Health & Services and support the goals andprinciples of supportive housing.
Prioritizeand complete work orders from residents and staff in a timely manner.
Manageapartment turnover activities including but not limited to patching, painting,facilitating carpet and flooring replacement, supervising cleaning, etc.
Refineand implement a preventative maintenance schedule for any equipment or fixturesthat require it.
Coordinateand interface with repair and replacement contractors as necessary.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum two years providing maintenance technicianservices in residential contexts.
TheMaintenance Technician will demonstrate compassion towards the special needsresidents in Supportive Housing.Excellent communication skills and some computer skills are desirable.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Some formal training in skilled trades preferred

Providence John Gabriel House is located in the heart of downtown Redmond, WA. It is a low income housing complex with 74 apartment for seniors age 62 and older. Providence John Gabriel House is named after Sister John Gabriel who was the general supervisor of nursing training schools operated by the Sisters of Providence in the 1910s. Providence John Gabriel House is owned and operated by Providence Health & Services.
