Providence Director, End Point Service Management in Redmond, Washington

Description:

Providence is calling a Director, End Point Service Management to our location in Irvine, CA; Portland, OR; Redmond, WA or Beaverton, OR.

We are seeking a Director, End Point Service Management PSJH who will be accountable for the operational processes related to End Point servicing to our caregivers across the enterprise. The position will be responsible for the performance, interoperability and quality of IS Programs and the systems under their management to agreed-upon service levels in to ensure a continual and seamless service for customers regardless of which devices or systems they access.

This is a technical position that manages and directs the End Point Service Management and End Point Policies and Compliance teams that support the business and ensure that these teams that provides the services continually provision those services successfully. This position is a key interface with the business, the internal IS Operations teams, applications teams, other IS teams, and third party suppliers of services.

In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Insures continuous operation cycle for testing of critical enterprise systems for PSJH by maintaining a cross-discipline view of service activity (QA, Test, quality & release management) in order to more closely align the teams' disparate activities. The primary responsibility of this role is to develop programs and processes to ensure a get current stay current methodology for platform interoperability while coordinating across teams ensuring compatibility in software and hardware release cycles.

  • Responsible for the quality of PSJH incident management execution and serves as the overall owner of software release cycles, SDLC and QA.

  • As a member of the IS Operations senior leadership team, participates fully in the ownership of QA reporting, validation of test plans, software / hardware lifecycle qualifications, issues and escalations to ensure a stable release cycle.

  • Manage the continuous improvement of the hardware and software release and interoperability function.

  • Creates awareness and manages to completion those issues that are not yet incidents but might become incidents in the future, impacting critical PSJH systems.

  • Insure that scheduled changes are not in conflict and that their impacts are fully understood across the various technical teams and functional leaders inside and outside of IS.

  • Partners with peers from Engineering, Architecture & Strategy, Applications, and other PSJH teams to optimize production systems to improve the caregivers' experience with PSJH technology.

  • Maintains currency on information technology in general and accountable disciplines in particular. Continually evaluates the effectiveness of current strategies, technology and standards, recommending enhancements and modifications through established collaboration mechanisms.

  • Develops and implements appropriate service delivery models for core functionalities where the IS organization is a trusted adviser in defining, delivering, and improving services for the enterprise and its customers.

  • Attracts, hires, trains, motivates, retains, and develops a team of first-rate professionals to perform the responsibilities of the various communications functions.

  • Working with IS leaders across PSJH, defines service models and reporting mechanisms for accountable disciplines as a part of overall PSJH IS service design. Designs, implements, maintains, and operates departmental Service Level Agreements, Operating Level Agreements, and associated KPIs.

  • Monitors the performance of the accountable disciplines and evaluates the performance of technology services on the basis of specific KPIs.

  • Leads the development of and monitors QA test and interoperability policies and procedures with communications, consistent with overall strategy and standards, throughout PSJH.

  • Develops and negotiates preferred information technology vendor contracts and manages key vendor relationships.

  • Serves as Sponsor and/or Owner, as appropriate, for technology projects and initiatives within areas of accountability

  • Ensures that direct reports are meticulous in executing defined administrative practices – budgeting, financial management, personnel management, compliance, mission, and other defined areas.

  • In all activities, the incumbent treats all others with respect and demonstrates excellence, justice and compassion in daily work.

  • Maintains the strict confidentiality of all information, including financial/operational, employee/human resource, healthcare/patient data and information.

  • Partners with the entire IS leadership team for disaster recovery architecture, projects, and policies and participates in disaster drills.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Management, or Information Services or equivalent education/experience.

  • 8 years experience in leading technical teams in QA/DVT functions (design validation).

  • 10 years hands on technical management experience in at least one of the following disciplines: Network, Server, Storage, or Security.

  • 8 years experience in testing complex technical solutions, release cycles and QA plans

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • A person wanting to be part of a digital transformation in healthcare.

  • Has experience managing End Point Delivery Solutions such as Microsoft’s End Point Manager.

  • Is experience managing Microsoft solutions delivering applications to client computers.

  • Knows about Azure active directory and managing devices that are Azure joined.

  • Can utilize all the services in Microsoft Intune.

  • Is willing to jump in and help architect the transition of group polices to Intune Policies.

  • Wants to utilize Automation where ever possible.

  • Knows how to provide End Point Service Management and Polices in large environments.

  • Is able to establish a technical roadmap for windows, IOS and Mac devices.
