Providence Health & Services Stroke and Telestroke Programs Coordinator - Neurosciences Development in Olympia, Washington
Providence is calling a Coordinator Stroke – Telestroke Programs (1.0 FTE, Dayshift, Neurosciences Development) to Providence Health & Services in Olympia, WA.
We are seeking a Coordinator to be responsible for both the Stroke and Telestroke programs. The Coordinator will be responsible for implementing and growing a comprehensive Telestroke Program internally and externally. The Coordinator is responsible for multiple aspects of the Telestroke Program including outreach, operational roll out and day to day oversight of the program. The Coordinator will be a liaison with hospitals that are part of the Providence telestroke network, ensuring that hospitals are satisfied with all components of the program. The Coordinator will be a liaison with the telestroke vendor and will coordinate all demonstrations, on-site trainings and education. The Coordinator role within the stroke program will be to understand the Joint Commission, state, and regulatory guidelines that govern the parameters of an inpatient stroke program.
In this position you will:
Oversee the daily clinical operations of the Providence Southwest Washington Region Telestroke Network program.
Collaborate closely with Medical Director for the Stroke Program on day to day program status.
Plan and coordinate Grand Rounds to include nursing and physician stakeholders
Collaborate with stakeholders including medical directors, nursing leadership, service line leadership, and neighboring hospitals to build consensus for care within a care continuum.
Translate and educate care partners in Stroke regulatory requirements and how these requirements are measured or tracked to continue ongoing Joint Commission Stroke Program Accreditation.
Meet regularly with the Director of Ortho and Neurosciences to report progress and develop action plans.
Develop priorities and goals for the telestroke program and stroke services in collaboration with telestroke/stroke team.
Required qualifications for this position include:
5 years clinical experience with min of 3 years in stroke.
Current Registered Nurse state license in good standing; current and valid WA State Driver’s License.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Experience in acute care emergency services.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
