Providence Health & Services Rehabilitation Therapy Supervisor - Rehabilitation in Olympia, Washington
Providence is calling a Rehabilitation Therapy Supervisor to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA.
The position is responsible for the supervision of the Providence St. Peter Hospital Acute Physical, Occupational and Speech Language Pathology Services. The responsibilities include coordinating and monitoring all therapy activities and supplies for the Acute Hospital Service, supervising department personal, leading and/or participating in therapy programs, adhoc and standing committee activities and providing direct patient care. The role of supervisor includes responsibilities for interviewing and recommending hire, training, guiding and evaluating personnel in the department. The position will assist with budget development and ongoing conformance to DOH and Joint Commission standards, performance improvement activities and planning. Primary role for developing an efficient staff and patient schedule which assures maximum productivity.

Assists with the development of a departmental strategic plan complying with organizational guidelines which identifies objectives for increasing market share and volumes
Actively participates in developing annual departmental budgets, which will include appropriate volume and revenue projections and reflect the most cost-effective means of delivering services to achieve specified quality levels
Manages human resources to achieve the highest levels of performance by retaining and attracting the most competent employees
Complies with PSPH and unit specific infection control, risk management and OSHA guidelines and procedures
Assures compliance with PSPH confidentiality policies and maintains confidentiality of patient and/or business related information
Promotes sensitivity with cultural and religious beliefs
Identifies role and responsibility in complying with PSPH and unit specific safety and security policies, plans and procedures
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate Degree in Physical, Occupational, Recreational Therapy and/or Speech Language Pathology from accredited training program
Minimum of 5 years experience, with at least two years in acute care. Prefer lead position experience
Washington State License in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech-Language Pathology
Advanced clinical skills in area of expertise. Knowledge of supervision including budgeting, resource allocation and planning is preferred
