Providence is calling a Float Physical Therapist (1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week Day Shift) to work in the PT Outpatient departments at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA, Providence Centralia Hospital in Centralia, WA, and our offsite clinics in Tumwater, Centralia, and Chehalis WA

The Physical Therapist, as directed by a health care practitioner, performs PT evaluations, establishes treatment plans with goals, provides treatment, delegates specific treatments, determines appropriate equipment needs and performs discharge activities

In this position you will:

  • Provide initial patient evaluation in accordance to physician request in order to initiate appropriate treatment, which is reasonable in the terms of accepted practice and necessary to recovery of function for the following age groups as applicable: Neonate; Pediatric; Adolescent; Adult; Older Adult

  • Establishes treatment goals and plan of care based on assessment and test results

  • Provides therapy treatment to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability

  • Utilizes modalities, procedures, mobilizations, exercise activities and tests as appropriate to age and culture.

  • Patient/Family education

  • Selects and delegates appropriate portions of the treatment plan and program to supportive personnel based on their assessed competence. Aware of supportive personnel’s abilities and skills

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy

  • Current Physical Therapy (PT) licensure in Washington State or Physical Therapy Compact Privilege in the State of WA

  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
