Providence Health & Services LPN Clinic - Centralized Patient Access *$5K Sign-On Bonus* in Olympia, Washington


Providence is calling a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Clinic (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work in Centralized Patient Access at Providence Medical Group Southwest Washington in Olympia, WA.

This position works under the direction and supervision of the Clinic Supervisor, Practice Manager or appropriate staff to support in the delivery of cost-effective, clinically competent, reliable healthcare in a safe, respectful manner that ensures patient respect and dignity. The Clinic LPN provides practical nursing and office functions including lab testing, telephone follow-up, basic patient education, patient scheduling and care throughout the clinical visit as supervised by the RN and Physician. Participates as a fully engaged member of the care team, by demonstrated commitment to service and compassion for the patients of Providence and their families.

In this position you will:

  • Gathers patient data.

  • Communicates relevant assessment data to RNs, Providers, other caregivers, patients and family members as appropriate. Seeks guidance from RN or provider for assessment and reassessment issues.

  • Notifies health care team members of pertinent information regarding patient’s condition and takes appropriate action.

  • Coordinates and provides nursing care, collaborating with RN (if applicable) and Physicians.

  • Organizes care based on assessment, patient’s request, family needs and the uniqueness of the situation, patient’s age and the priorities in the clinic. Explains procedures and treatments to patients and/or families and provides guidance as appropriate.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program

  • Current Washington State Licensure as a LPN

  • Current BLS certification – Healthcare Provider (must be AHA accredited)

  • 2 years Experience working in a medical setting.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Experience with electronic medical record
