Providence GME Program Coordinator in Olympia, Washington

Description:

Providence is calling a GME (Graduate Medical Education) Program Coordinator (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to Providence Medical Group Southwest Washington in Olympia, WA.

The GME Program Coordinator has the primary responsibility for the management of the residency program. This position partners with GME Program Directors and faculty in developing and maintaining the educational quality of the training program and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and other regulatory requirements while continuously identifying areas for programmatic improvements.

In this position you will:

  • Oversees the resident recruitment process, onboarding and orientation.

  • Provide direct supervision of residents and perform related HR tasks in accordance with GME policies and, as necessary, in collaboration with GME Program Directors.

  • Creates and maintains faculty and resident schedules including block rotation schedule, specialty clinic and specialty rotation schedules. Understands and applies accreditation requirements as they pertain to the work schedule.

  • Ensures program accreditation and compliance through maintaining documentation, completing reports, and coordinating site visits.

  • Manages the residency budget, including tracking GME deposits, grant funding and residency expenditures.

  • Contributes to and promotes quality improvement, strategic planning, and change management initiatives.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Four (4) years of program management experience, preferably related to GME

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business administration or medical-related field from an accredited college/university.

  • Certified through TAGME (Training Administrators of Graduate Medical Education)
