Providence is calling a Biomedical Technician III (1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week Variable Shifts) to Providence St. Peter’s in Olympia, WA.

To work collaboratively with professional and clinical staff with the goal of insuring all patient related medical equipment entering Providence St. Peter Hospital is well maintained and safe for patient usage.
In this position you will:
Demonstrates specialized training and experience in at least two areas of Biomedical Engineering, having achieved expertise in at least one of these roles.
Provides in-service training, hospital wide, to clinical personnel upon request
Responsible for repair, calibration and maintenance of equipment within both assigned and unassigned areas of the hospital.
Complete documentation on work performed in a timely and accurate manner, including any detail that will describe work performed, training performed, parts replaced, and other pertinent information.
Utilizes the time keeping system in order to document paid time allocation.
Demonstrates ability to work with patients, managers and clients of various ages’ groups.
Identifies role and responsibility in complying with facility and unit specific safety and security policies, plans and procedures.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical or Clinical Engineering (or equivalent) or Associate's Degree in Biomedical Engineering
Bachelor's degree: Five (5) years Biomedical equipment maintenance program experience
Associate's degree & Certification: Sven (7) years Biomedical equipment maintenance program experience.
Associate's degree, uncertified: Ten (10) or more years of Biomedical equipment maintenance program experience.
BMET certification required with <10 years experience.
A driver's abstract indicating a valid Washington State Drivers license in good standing
