Providence Health & Services Assistant Housing Director/Business Manager- Low Income Housing in Olympia, Washington
Providence is calling an Assistant Housing Director/Business Manager to Providence Health & Services in Olympia, WA.
The Assistant Housing Director/Business Manager is responsible for supporting and assisting the Housing Director in leadership and management activities related to all facets of a supportive ministry operation. The position reports to the Housing Director and must establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, contractors and residents at the facility and within Providence Strategic and Management Services (PSMS), Providence Health & Services employees, vendors, agents, and others.
This role is 28 hours per week
In this position you will:
Seek to demonstrate compassion and respect in every engagement with residents, employees, contractors, vendors, guests, etc.
Manage the property in a manner that is consistent with accepted business and accounting practices and principles.
Manage the property in accordance with regulations, policies and procedures governed by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development, federal and state fair housing laws, Americans with Disability Act requirements, Providence Health & Services and Supportive Housing policies and procedures and any other applicable state and/or municipal requirements including but not limited to State Landlord/Tenant laws.
Ensure that the physical plant including all common areas, landscaped areas and tenant units are always clean and well maintained.
Promote a work environment that is professional, competent, responsible, developmental and consistent with the highest professional and ethical standards.
Assist Housing Director with confronting, documenting and appropriately resolving lease violations in a manner that is developmental, consistent and fair.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management or a related field or the equivalent.
Minimum of two years experience in a housing, social service or health care organization or work with elderly, disabled or other persons with special needs.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Must be capable of successfully completing the course for Certified Occupancy Specialist (either Quadel or NCHM) and obtaining certification within the first year of employment.
