Providence Health & Services Trauma Clinical Coordinator - Trauma Injury Prevention in Everett, Washington
Providence is calling a Trauma Clinical Coordinator (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to Providence Health & Services in Everett, WA.
We are seeking a Trauma Clinical Coordinator to assist the Trauma Program Manager and Trauma Program Medical Director to monitor, and coordinate all aspects of the Trauma Service. Responsible for clinical data abstraction from the medical records of trauma patients for the purposes of data submissions, injury research, epidemiology, and quality improvement. Assists in coordination and delivery of required and optional clinical education for all clinicians involved in the care of the trauma patient, including EMS, Emergency, Acute Care and Rehabilitation as appropriate in the North Region.
In this position you will:
Provide education and orientation for nurses and other clinicians involved in the care of the trauma patient.
Collaborate with Clinical Educators to provide ongoing access to high quality trauma educational offerings.
Assure that trauma team roles are defined and followed by all members of the team.
Provide and support efforts to educate the population in regard to injury prevention at the direction of the Trauma Program Manager.
Maintain confidentiality of records or medical center information at all times.
Ensure all faxes and other communications between the RC, the lead node, and the data management centers adhere to federal regulations.
Provide regular reports to the Trauma Program Manager and Trauma Medical Director with recommendations to address quality issues.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor of Science, Nursing.
3-5 years Emergency Department or Critical Care experience in a Level III or higher Trauma Center.
Professional Nursing certification consistent with clinical background (Ex. CEN, CPEN, CCRN, CFRN).
TNCC Instructor within 1 year of employment in this position.
ENPC Instructor within 1 year of employment in this position.
Current WA State RN license.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master’s degree in Nursing (MN, MSN).
