Providence Switchboard Operator - Communications in Everett, Washington
Providence is calling a Switchboard Operator (0.5 FTE, Evening Shift) to work in Communications Department at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in Everett, WA.

Responsible for answering all incoming calls into the hospital's main telephone number, physician's answering service and in house operator calls; provides in person visitor information, reception, and paging. Coordinates all emergency communications to include Trauma Codes, Codes 4, NICU, Codes Red, Codes Blue, Codes Yellows, Codes 900, and Helicopter Landing. Monitors Hospital Alarm Panels, handles all Fire and Disaster Drills and operates hospital two way radios.
In this position you will:
Calls are answered in a prompt manner.
Transfers and pages are correct and prioritized appropriately at all times.
Responds to all routine requests and inquires for information.
Answers code lines, alarms and fire panel promptly. Alert and summon appropriate staff and monitors emergency situation until resolved.
Operates all department equipment including two way radios, and performs routine maintenance on equipment when needed.
Required qualifications for this position include:
H.S. Diploma or GED or equivalent educ/experience
Previous switchboard experience in healthcare setting
Answering service experience or answering phones at large organizations
Preferred qualification for this position include:
