Providence is calling a Pharmacist Supervisor/Pharmacist in Charge (1.0 FTE, Variable) to Credena Health Pharmacy in Everett, Washington. Credena Health Pharmacy Everett provides a high level of service that includes a hospital bedside delivery service, stocking specialty medications, and maintaining close relationships with hospital and clinic providers. We work closely with our providers, nursing staff, and social workers to ensure everyone receives the care they need. Our Pharmacist in Charge will lead our pharmacy staff as they fulfill our mission. Our staff helps maintain provider relations, navigate complex billing situations, and work with specialized medications that are not commonly seen in a typical community pharmacy. This is a full-time variable shift role and will work day, and evening shifts as well as some weekends and holidays.

In this position you will:

  • Maintain confidentiality of all information related to patients, medical staff, employees, and as appropriate, other information.

  • Demonstrate service excellence and positive interpersonal relations in dealing with others, including patients/families/members, employees, managers, medical staff, volunteers and community members, so that productivity and positive relations are maximized.

  • Consistently demonstrate and incorporate principles of safety and infection control into daily activities as outlined in Environment of Care, Infection Control, and Exposure Control manuals and department safety policies/procedures.

  • Consistently use personal protective equipment as required and take appropriate precautions whenever there is potential for contact with blood, body fluids, chemicals and/or other hazardous materials.

  • Develop individual objectives consistent with the Providence Health System's Management System.

  • Measure and report on individual objectives regularly.

  • Review and interpret physicians’ orders to assure that the drug, dosage form, and dose is appropriate for the patient’s age, weight, and comorbidities. Checks for drug incompatibilities and allergies, and take appropriate action when necessary.

  • Review patient records and orders regarding drug therapy, recommend and initiate changes that are consistent with the patient’s age; is successful in improving patient outcome through monitoring and intervention consistently.

  • As required, regularly consult with physicians and nursing staff members concerning the use, availability, dosage form, side effects and possible incompatibilities of new as well as currently used drugs; always take time to clearly explain information to concerned patients.

  • Follow proper computer order entry procedures.

  • Complete all assigned work procedures during the shift, while maintaining the highest standards of quality.

  • Supervise and review work performed by supportive personnel.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

· Current registration and license from the Washington State Board of Pharmacy.

· Ability to apply pharmaceutical knowledge base in patient care settings.

· Ability to communicate well with all health care professionals.

· Ability to use pharmaceutical calculations in the provision of appropriate dosing.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

· 5 years previous retail pharmacist experience

· Previous Management Experience
