Providence is calling a Scheduler (Home Health Snohomish, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to SCS Home Health in Everett, WA. Home Health caregivers will tell you there are significant advantages to caring for individuals and families in their own homes. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all - especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Provide an accurate daily schedule of clinical visits for hospice services
Schedule additional visits as patient needs develop; coordinates schedules taking into consideration caseload availability and staffing levels and geographic areas and expertise to maximize efficiency, safety and quality of care
Make adjustments as necessary to scheduled patient visits when staff call in sick or are on vacation
Support and update staff schedules in the EPIC system; communicate with staff on a regular basis regarding changes in schedules, changes or variations in coverage needs, patient volumes, staffing levels to assure efficient, effective and consistent patient coverage
Communicate scheduling needs and coverage to managers; provide input and observations regarding the day-to-day function of the department to Managers
Participate in planning and implementing activities to accomplish the department goals and objectives.
Participates in new staff or volunteer orientation and training as appropriate
Qualifications:
Required qualifications for this position include:
Experience working in a receptionist capacity answering a multi-line phone and greeting customers.
Two (2) years experience working as a general office assistant or equivalent training/education, preferably in a health care setting.
Experience in coordination or scheduling out-of-office staff, preferable in the healthcare industry.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Three (3) years recent hospital, nursing home or home health experience.
One (1) year experience in health care industry.
