Providence Health & Services Physical Therapist - PACE Everett, Days: Part-Time (.6) in Everett, Washington
Providence is calling a Physical Therapist (0.6 FTE, Day Shift) to work in Pace Everett at Providence ElderPlace in Everett, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Perform thorough PT assessments evaluating physical and functional mobility status of PEP participants including but not limited to ROM, strength, balance, sensation, coordination and gait. Determines need for PT interventions, caregiver training and durable medical equipment.
Develop plan of care in accordance with participant needs and team approval.
Interact with the public and other employees in a positive manner.
Demonstrate an ability to treat a wide range of geriatric diagnoses and be knowledgeable in therapy treatments, goals and contraindications for treatments. Treatments are adapted to the unique PEP-S population. Requests consultation, supervision or continuing education when appropriate to learn specialized techniques or treatment approaches.
Provide participant/caregiver education and counseling regarding issues related to rehabilitation treatment and goals, safety risks and equipment needs.
Document all PT evaluations and interventions in appropriate agency format and within agency timelines. Documents reflect good clinical documentation. Responsible for tracking and monitoring participant DME.
Be responsible for instruction and supervision of PTA’s and PT Aides in accordance with PT WACs. Supervises students as assigned.
Participate in Interdisciplinary Team meetings, presenting findings and recommendations. Participates in other committees as assigned. Participates in agency CQI process as assigned. Provides training to PACE staff in appropriate areas related to PT practice and participant care
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
Current PT licensure or certification in Washington State.
Valid driver’s license.
Current auto liability insurance.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) for Health Care Provider certification required at time of hire.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master's Degree or D.P.T in Physical Therapy
One (1) year working with a geriatric population
