Providence Health & Services Office Assistant - Radiation Oncology in Everett, Washington
Providence is calling for an Office Assistant (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to the Radiation Oncology at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in Everett, Washington.
Performs a variety of office support tasks including scheduling and greeting patients and families; maintains an orderly and friendly environment. Serves as a liaison between patient and health care practitioners within the department.
In this position you will:
Demonstrates age specific patient care considerations for the population served
Demonstrates application of knowledge, skills, and behaviors in the physical, motor/sensory, cognitive, psychosocial, patient and family education areas based on PEMC age specific care competency assessment tool.
Receives and registers incoming patients
Ensures demographic data and insurance benefits are identified and entered into the computer system for registration/treatment in the department.
When appropriate, refers patients to Admitting Department for admission.
Coordinates radiation oncology patients, staff and physician schedules to insure appropriate patient registration and smooth work flow
Assist various department committees, task forces and work areas by gathering and collating required records:
Schedules testing appointment with diagnostic or physician office, schedules follow up appointments and other medically prescribed appointments for treatment as requested by physician, staff or patient:
Required qualification for this position include:
- Medical office experience
Preferred qualification for this position include:
- Experience with an emphasis on records retrieval and billing charge entry
