Providence is calling a Nurse Assistant Surgical Services (1.0 FTE, Variable Shift) to work in Surgery Services at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in Everett, WA.

Assists surgical staff members in the daily operations of the OR, including case cart management, procurement of supplies and instruments, sterilization of instruments, and operating room housekeeping duties under the supervision of the registered nurse and/or manager.
In this position you will:
Performs housekeeping duties under the supervision of the registered nurse and/or manager:
Cleans Operating Room suite between cases including but not limited to mopping of floors, removal of linen and trash, and wiping down of OR beds
Handles soiled instruments before sending for processing in SPD.
Performs assigned duties as a team member of unit by designated RN:
Facilitates case cart arrival in a timely manner to expedite case flow for the day.
Appropriately checks case cart for completeness according to physicians' preference card and staff needs for case.
Assists with case set-up and opening of sterile supplies under direct supervision of RN/ORT.
Maintains personal professional development:
Participates in all staff meetings, mandatory in services and training programs to ensure continued understanding of all department policies, procedures and performance improvement processes.
Responds to assignments in a timely manner
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School diploma or equivalent education or experience
Experience in an acute or long-term health care facility or similar health care environment
