Providence Health & Services MRI/CT Technologist (Dual Modality) in Everett, Washington
Providence is calling a MRI/CT Technologist (0.9 FTE, Variable) to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in Everett, WA.
The MRI and CT Technologist will independently perform diagnostic MRI and CT scans on neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, under the direction of a Radiologist.
In this position you will:
Perform MRI and CT procedures on neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients according to the department protocol and review those procedures with the Radiologist. Ability to work independently in MRI and CT.
Complete MRI and CT exams according to orders and protocols. Follow all procedures and guidelines pertaining to contrast.
Reconstruct and film exams in a timely manner to provide accurate avenues for diagnosis. Prepare images for timely review by the Radiologist.
Provide radiation protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards and department protocol; comply with all National patient Safety Goals.
Maintain supplies in examination rooms to ensure timely procedures; monitor equipment operation and maintenance; maintain order and cleanliness of work areas.
Create and maintain records and documents; maintain proficiency and the operation of the EPIC computer system to ensure timely procedure is performed and proper billing of patients occurs.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Associate Degree or Two year technical program; completion of an approved Radiologic Technology Training Program
Active WA State certification and ARRT Certification in Radiology
Completing and passing the ARRT MRI and CT specialty exams within a year from the date of hire
Continuation of good standing with ARRT and Washington State for the duration of employment
A valid CPR card or the CPR card must be obtained within 2 weeks from the date of hire
Knowledge of medical terminology and sterile techniques
Knowledge of Technical, Diagnostic, and Emergency procedures related to Imaging/Radiology and CT
Basic computer skills including Outlook
Availability to work on call and work weekend shifts if the business need arises
Prefered qualifications for this postiion include:
- Prior MRI and CT experience
