Providence Medical Imaging Assistant in Everett, Washington
Providence is calling a Medical Imaging Assistant (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett, WA.
Assists technical staff and physicians in performing medical imaging procedures for pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Records vital signs, maintains equipment, processes and documents service requests.
In this position you will:
Demonstrates application of knowledge, skills, and behaviors in the physical, motor/sensory, cognitive, psychosocial, patient and family education areas based on PEMC age specific care competency assessment tool
Performs a variety of tasks to provide safe and effective patient care which is consistent with departmental guidelines including, but not limited to, processing of paperwork, managing films for review, data collection, communication with radiologists and other healthcare team members
Prepares exam rooms
Obtains appropriate patient information
Assists with patient positioning and patient transportation within department
Interacts with patients in a manner that contributes to the success of satisfactory patient satisfaction scores
Maintains confidentiality of records or medical center information at all times
Maintains full knowledge of HIPAA regulations
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent
Prior experience in healthcare setting
Recent experience in an acute care facility or work experience within Radiology, Laboratory or Clinic setting
Technical, Diagnostic and Emergency procedure related to Imaging/Radiology
Valid Healthcare Provider CPR Card
