Providence Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Home Health Snohomish *$5,000 Sign-On Bonus* in Everett, Washington


Providence is calling a Licensed Practical Nurse (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work in the Home Health Snohomish at SCS Home Health in Snohomish County in Washington.

$5,000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment - this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment.

The Liecensed Practical nurse will assist the Registered Nurse in the planning and delivery of nursing care and to assist with the rehabilitation of patients in their place of residence on an intermittent basis. The RN develop a treatment plan which is instituted in accordance with physician orders. The LPN also assists in educating patients to promote self-care.

In this position, you will:

  • The LPN will provide direct client care under the direction and supervision of the RN and the physician’s ordered Plan of Care.

  • All documentation will be complete, accurate and timely

  • Promotes and practices patient/family, personal and environmental safety while performing job duties according to agency policies and procedures.

  • Participates in relevant education activities to provide competent care to patients/caregivers, to improve the nursing process, and to seek personal and professional growth.

  • Displays professionalism in the work environment

  • Complies with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws, regulations, and CHAP requirements as well as facility specific policies and procedures

  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient demographics, medical and financial information at all times. Maintain confidentiality of all company and client information. Ensure proper handling and disposal of confidential documents and adheres to all HIPAA rules and regulations.

  • Adheres to all policies and procedures including regulatory requirements with regard to infection control, practicing universal precautions, sanitation, and safety and disaster preparedness.

  • Clinical Skills: • Demonstrates the ability to apply knowledge to the effective treatment of patients in various age groups, which may include: pediatric, adult and/or geriatric, when applicable. • Thorough understanding of nursing practices and standards of care. • Strong working knowledge of guidelines regarding home health services/programs as appropriate. • Knowledge of and sensitivity to a wide variety of cultural and value systems.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse program

  • Current Washington State License as a Practical/Vocational Nurse

  • Current Washington State Driver’s license and have access to daily use of an insured, reliable vehicle

  • Current Provider CPR certification

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • One (1) year of hospital, nursing home or home health experience
