Providence Health & Services Clinicial Educator - Acute Care in Everett, Washington
Providence is calling a Clinical Educator to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in Everett, WA.
Provides clinical expertise and education to the nursing staff of assigned area.
In this position you will:
Demonstrate age specific patient care considerations for the population served.
Provide education services to caregivers in the general medical/ surgical and telemetry (Acute Care) setting
Promote research to improve practice.
Facilitate communication at all levels.
Demonstrate leadership in promoting education. Use innovative strategies to achieve educational outcomes and implement clinical changes.
Teach and apply ethical principles to support the moral and legal rights of patients and members of the health care team.
Function as a consultant, collaborating with unit staff, management, organizational leadership and the academic community to ensure competency, promote staff development and advance the profession of nursing.
Act as a change agent, incorporating educational materials that address the many needs of a diverse population.
Facilitate learning for patients, families, nursing staff, and other members of the healthcare team.
Maintains confidentiality of records or medical center information at all times.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Masters Degree in Nursing or completion within 18 months of hire
Washington State Registered Nurse License.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Significant directly related work experience.
Certification in area of specialty
Appropriate clinical experience in nursing area of specialty.
Adult Education – class development.
