Providence is calling an Cardiac Electrophysiology Technologist (0.5 FTE,Variable) to Providence Regional MedicalCenter in Everett, WA.
Cardiac Electrophysiology Technologist prepares for and assists the physician in the
testing and/or treatment of patients in the Electrophysiology Lab
procedures. Performs as a monitor tech
and scrub tech; maintaining sterile technique.
In this position you will:
Perform/review baseline patientassessment, evaluate patient response to diagnostic or interventional maneuversand medications during Electrophysiology laboratory procedures
Provide patient care and administersdrugs commonly used in the EP lab as directed by a qualified physician.
Be proficient in basic cardiac lifesupport.
Be proficient in the operation andmaintenance, as specific by the manufacturer, of all diagnostic and therapeuticEP equipment used for procedures.
Required qualifications for this position include:
H.S. Diploma or GED
Graduate of an accredited school ofcardiovascular or radiographic technology
Requires at least 6 months cardiac internshipduring education.
Prior EP experience in a technical capacity.
Must obtain Washington State Department ofHealth Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Certification (CVIS) or RadiologicTechnologist Certification (ARRT)
Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist(RCES) or Certified Electrophysiology Specialist (CEPS) must obtain within 12months of hire.
Advanced Cardiac Live Support (ACLS) mustobtain within 90 days of hire.
Current BLS certification.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Completion of formal training from an
AMA-approved Cardiovascular Technology Program preferred.
Prior experience in a cardiovascular laboratory
