Providence Health & Services Advanced Practice Dietitian I - Nutritional Therapy in Everett, Washington


Providence is calling a Advanced Practice Dietitian I to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett in Everett, WA.

Develops, coordinates and directs all aspects of quality, cost effective outcome-oriented clinical nutrition care in a specialty area.

In this position you will:

  • Demonstrates age specific patient care considerations for the population served.

  • Provides nutrition assessment, problem identification and resolution and education to staff and patients

  • Provides current information about community resources for follow up care including development and maintenance of teaching materials for staff and patients

  • Assists in the development of policies, procedures and protocols.

  • Maintains Professional Development Portfolio guide reflecting clinical skills and clinical specialty.

  • Trains/preceptors other dietitians in area of specialty.

  • Serves as resource for diet hosts and diet technicians and initiates education opportunities for them

  • Maintains confidentiality of records or medical center information at all times.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Internship for Dietitian

  • Two years of recent experience in a hospital focusing on clinical nutrition.

  • Continuing education plan (Professional Development Portfolio) in progress with focus on clinical specialty.

  • Registered Dietitian

  • Certified Dietitian

  • Food Handler’s License

  • Advanced Board Certification CDE, CNSD, BCS, Renal, Pediatrics, IBCLC,CNSD

Preferred qualifications:

  • Critical Care experience desired
